Dehradun, 1 March 2024 – On Friday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami provided appointment letters to 35 Assistant Social Welfare Officers and 03 Hostel Superintendents selected in the Social Welfare Department by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The Chief Minister, extending his best wishes to all the newly appointed officers, mentioned that the state government is continuously conducting recruitment drives to fill vacant government positions. As a result, the distribution of appointment letters is an ongoing process. He stated that various government departments are actively working to fill the vacant positions, and the appointment distribution program is consistently progressing. He emphasized that the hardworking individuals who have put in dedicated efforts are now receiving their appointment letters.
The Chief Minister advised all the newly appointed officers to maintain discipline in their lives. He expressed that by practicing discipline in their own lives, they can effectively promote the government’s welfare schemes to the public. He urged them to demonstrate excellent work during their service to fulfill the principles of ‘antyodaya’ (upliftment of the weakest and last person).
The Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s efforts in curbing the menace of exam cheating by implementing strict anti-copying laws. Those involved in cheating have been sent behind bars. He mentioned that transparent exams are now being conducted in the state, and qualified and capable candidates are succeeding in these examinations.
During the event, Secretary Brijesh Kumar Sant, Director-in-charge G.R. Nautiyal, Deputy Director Vasudev Arya, Chief Financial Controller Kamlesh Bhandari, District Social Welfare Officer Govardhan Singh, Assistant Director Hemlata Pandey, and others were present.
