HPSC Seeks Government Support to Resolve Private School Challenges in Haryana

Chandigarh, August 11, 2026; A delegation of the Haryana Progressive Schools’ Conference (HPSC), headed by State President Shri Suresh Chander, held discussions with the Haryana Education Minister on Tuesday regarding issues affecting the functioning and administration of private schools in the state.

During the meeting, the school representatives highlighted several difficulties arising from the implementation of government orders, regulatory requirements and administrative processes. They stressed that greater coordination and consultation with school managements could help ensure that policies are implemented effectively without affecting the delivery of education.

The delegation also presented the concerns of its member schools and sought the Education Minister’s intervention in matters requiring clarification or action from the concerned departments. The HPSC requested that practical difficulties faced at the institutional level be taken into account while framing and implementing educational regulations.

The Education Minister heard the delegation’s submissions and assured the representatives that the matters discussed would be examined appropriately. The Minister also indicated that necessary steps would be considered to address issues falling within the government’s purview.

Following the meeting, HPSC State President Shri Suresh Chander welcomed the Minister’s approach and emphasised the importance of continued communication between the government and private school associations.

Chander said sustained engagement with educational stakeholders can help create policies that are practical, transparent and easier to implement at the school level. He added that HPSC would continue to raise issues affecting its member institutions through appropriate channels.

The interaction is expected to contribute towards better coordination between the state government and private schools, with the broader objective of strengthening the education system and supporting students and teachers across Haryana.
