The Impressive TimesNew Delhi, May 25, 2026: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday travelled from her official residence to the Delhi Secretariat using the Metro and a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus as part of the Delhi Government’s ‘Metro Monday’ initiative. The campaign aims to encourage citizens to adopt public transportation, reduce fuel consumption, and contribute to building a cleaner, greener, and more developed India.
The Chief Minister’s journey was undertaken as a symbolic effort to promote the use of public transport among residents of the national capital. During her commute, she interacted with fellow passengers and emphasized the importance of making public transportation a regular part of daily life to ease traffic congestion and reduce environmental pollution.
