Lucknow, 1st July , 2024 , Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a strong rebuttal to Rahul Gandhi’s claim in Parliament regarding compensation provided to displaced people in Ayodhya, clarifying that ₹1,733 crore has been distributed for various development projects. He accused Rahul Gandhi of spreading false information to defame Uttar Pradesh and Ayodhya, calling his statements highly condemnable and shameful. CM Yogi detailed the compensations: ₹952 crore for Ayodhya Airport, ₹295 crore for Ayodhya Bypass, ₹14.12 crore for Ram Janmabhoomi Path, ₹23.66 crore for Bhakti Path, ₹114.69 crore for Rampath, ₹29 crore for Panchkosi Parikrama Marg, ₹119.20 crore for Chaudah Kosi Parikrama Marg, ₹35.03 lakh for railway construction between Rudauli and Rozagaon, ₹163.90 crore for NH 330A, and ₹21.09 crore for NH 227B. He emphasized that 21,548 individuals have been compensated, with additional efforts to beautify shops and boost business for shopkeepers in Ayodhya. Accusing Congress of neglecting Ayodhya and tarnishing its image, CM Yogi stated that Rahul Gandhi’s comments were part of a conspiracy to harm the reputation of Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh. He criticized the Congress for allegedly undermining the Constitution and influencing elections with foreign funds, and for spreading misleading claims. CM Yogi highlighted the efforts made to restore Ayodhya’s glory and accused Congress of being upset by Ayodhya’s rising prominence. He asserted that Congress has always perpetuated lies and that Rahul Gandhi’s statements are a continuation of that tradition, aimed at tarnishing the image of India and Ayodhya.
