‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’ Leads with ₹11.25 Cr; ‘Mission: Impossible 8’ Earns $63M; ‘Kesari Veer’ Struggles

New Delhi : The Indian box office is currently bustling with a variety of films catering to different audiences—from suspense thrillers to patriotic dramas and high-octane Hollywood action. As Sunday wrapped up the weekend, here’s a look at how the major releases performed:

Bhool Chook Maaf – Rajkummar Rao Delivers a Winner Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi’s latest offering ‘Bhool Chook Maaf’ witnessed an impressive upward trajectory over the weekend. The film, which opened to positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, saw its highest single-day earnings on Sunday, collecting ₹11.25 crore.

With ₹7 crore on opening day (Friday), ₹9.5 crore on Saturday, and ₹11.25 crore on Sunday, the total weekend collection now stands at ₹27.75 crore. The film, released on May 23, has struck a chord with urban audiences, particularly for its gripping storyline and standout performances.

Kesari Veer – A Disappointing Debut On the other end of the spectrum is ‘Kesari Veer’, starring Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty. Despite the patriotic theme and a decent star cast, the film failed to find takers at the box office.

On Sunday, the film could only muster ₹32 lakh, bringing its total first-weekend earnings to just ₹88 lakh. With such low numbers, the film is unlikely to sustain through the coming weekdays unless a miracle turnaround happens.

Raid 2 – Still Going Strong Ajay Devgn and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Raid 2’ continues its solid box office run despite being in its fourth week. Released on May 1, the film collected ₹2.4 crore on its 25th day (Sunday), pushing its total collection to an impressive ₹162.10 crore.

The film has been lauded for its intense narrative and Devgn’s commanding performance. It remains one of the top-grossing Bollywood films of the year so far.

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Adds Star Power Meanwhile, Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’ continues its successful run in Indian theatres. While exact Sunday numbers are awaited, trade analysts estimate the film has crossed ₹63 crore in India so far, aided by strong action and a loyal fanbase.
