Projects on extension under RERA scanner, 2 weeks drive of physical inspection ends today

Gurugram, 11, May, 2024 – Gurugram, May 11 is a hyper potential real estate zone and that was the reason a separate real estate regulatory authority was instituted to regulate and make a balance between promoters and allottees in 2018 and also to ensure that the promoters deliver the projects on time as it has been observed that the inordinately delayed real estate projects have appeared much of harassment to allottees, chairman RERA Gurugram Arun Kumar noted.

Kumar who took charge of RERA Gurugram in December last year only took a very strong note of the projects granted extension under section 6 and 7 (3) of the Act 2016 and yet construction progress is not satisfactory.

Kumar identified as many as 35 such projects and inspected each one of them by visiting physically to ascertain actual construction progress on sites in last two weeks by launching a drive – first such step in six years history of RERA Gurugram.
Zara Awas, Ansal Highland Park, Neo Square Kumar inspected today at Sectors 103, 104 and 109.
Earlier, he inspected Ultimus at Sector 90, Amb Selfie Street at Sector 92, Signature Global Aspire at Sector 95, Saan Verdante Sector 95, Woodview Residencies and, two projects of ACE Palm Floor Sector 89 & 90, Aashiyara, Signature Global City, The Edge Towers at Sector 37 C & D and others.

These are the projects in which third party rights were created by promoters 3/4 years ago at least and constructions are in progress even after expiry of stipulated time allotted by the Authority at the time of issuing RERA registration under Section 5 and now they all fall under the category of Section 6 and 7(3) of Act 2016.
Under Section 6 and 7(3) RERA grants additional time to promoters to complete the projects.

Kumar wants promoters must complete projects without fail within the additional time limit only and deliver the units to allottees to avoid action.
