Faridabad : Haryana Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goel on Friday launched the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign at Shri Siddhadata Ashram on Surajkund Road by planting several medicinal and fruit-bearing saplings in the Ashram’s Vrindavan area.
The programme was organised on the occasion of the seventh death anniversary of Gurumata, the revered mother of the present head of Shri Siddhadata Dham, Jagadguru Ramanujacharya Swami Shri Purushottamacharya Ji Maharaj, who is widely remembered by devotees as Gurumata. Several public welfare initiatives were undertaken at the Ashram to inspire people on this occasion.
After paying floral tributes at Gurumata’s memorial, Minister Vipul Goel said that Gurumata was the embodiment of righteousness and spirituality. He remarked that her death anniversary is not merely a commemorative date but an occasion to remember her benevolence towards devotees, her selfless motherly affection, and her divine spiritual consciousness.
