The Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) has introduced a new National Sales Apprenticeship programme at its Further Education and Training Centre in Archerstown, Thurles, marking a significant expansion in its apprenticeship offerings.

The two-year programme leads to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales and has been developed by Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB under the Government’s broader strategy to address emerging skills needs in Ireland’s workforce.

According to the ETB, Tipperary is one of only five regions in the country currently offering this specialised apprenticeship, alongside Cork, Dublin, Leitrim, and Kerry, reflecting its limited but growing national rollout.

Programme Overview

The National Sales Apprenticeship is designed to equip learners with practical and industry-relevant skills in sales, customer engagement, and business operations. It combines classroom-based learning with on-the-job training, aiming to improve employability and meet industry demand for skilled sales professionals.

Skills Development Initiative

The programme forms part of ongoing national efforts to strengthen vocational education and training pathways. It aligns with Government-backed apprenticeship expansion policies aimed at bridging skills gaps across key sectors.
