Mumbai: Salman Khan is reportedly undergoing one of the most demanding physical transformations of his recent career for Maatrubhumi, with training said to have taken place in the challenging high-altitude conditions of Ladakh.
According to sources linked to the production, the actor followed an intense fitness routine during an extended schedule in Ladakh, combining endurance-focused exercises, heavy training and calisthenics to prepare for his role as an Indian Army Colonel.
The training reportedly unfolded over 45 days, with bodyweight-based workouts becoming central to the regimen due to the difficulty of transporting full gym equipment to remote shooting locations.
Sources also claim the actor maintained the demanding schedule despite dealing with injuries, adding to speculation around the scale of preparation involved in the project.
The film itself has also reportedly undergone major changes. Originally linked to a storyline inspired by the Galwan Valley clash, the project is now said to have been reworked, including a title change and broader narrative revisions.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under Salman Khan Films, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh. No release date has been announced.
