Accord Superspeciality Hospital serves as Health Partner at Ladakh Marathon 2025

Faridabad: Greater Faridabad’s Accord Superspeciality Hospital, Sector 86, officially partnered as the health partner for the Ladakh Marathon 2025. The hospital provided health check-ups and medical assistance to all participants, ensuring their safety throughout the event. Dr. Yuvraj Kumar, Chairman of the Orthopedic Department, personally participated in the marathon, promoting awareness about health among the runners. More than 6,500 participants from India and abroad took part in the marathon. Accord Hospital deployed ambulances and a dedicated medical team to Ladakh, delivering round-the-clock health services despite floods, landslides, freezing winds, and low oxygen levels. Runners received prompt and effective medical support throughout the event. Dr. Kumar highlighted that the enthusiasm of participants remained high despite the harsh conditions at high altitudes. The marathon not only promoted sportsmanship but also demonstrated human courage and determination under extreme circumstances. In addition, Accord Hospital strengthened its commitment to extending healthcare to border regions by organizing mega health camps across various parts of Ladakh, including Kargil, Dras, Mulbekh, Diskit, Hundar, Turtuk, and Thang. Over 2,000 patients received free consultation and treatment. Notably, in Thang, the last village of India, senior doctors from a private hospital visited for the first time since 1971. This initiative, conducted under the campaign ‘Sarhad Pe Sneh,’ also distributed medicines and clothes to the needy. Dr. Yuvraj Kumar added, “Bone and joint problems are common in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh. Many patients received treatment and guidance for follow-up care. Our goal is to ensure that people in remote areas have access to healthcare facilities equivalent to those in big cities.” Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Chairman of Accord Superspeciality Hospital, said, “Our mission is not limited to urban areas; we aim to provide quality healthcare to remote regions as well. The efforts of our team in challenging Ladakh terrains reflect this commitment.” The campaign reinforced Accord Hospital’s dedication to delivering medical services under all circumstances. The event was attended by several senior doctors, including Dr. Prabal Roy (Chairman, Surgery Department), Dr. Rishi Gupta (Chairman, Cardiology Department), Dr. Rohit Gupta (Chairman, Neurology Department), Dr. Ramchandra Soni (Chairman, Gastroenterology Department), and Dr. Biju, among others.
