The Impressive TimesLondon / Ranchi : Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Naveen Jindal Group, met the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Hemant Soren, in Ranchi on 2 January 2026, on the eve of the New Year. The meeting had focused on strengthening collaboration between the Government of Jharkhand and Naveen Jindal Group, with discussions covering steel, clean energy, skilled training and sustainability.
Building on the discussions held on 2 January, collaboration areas have now been defined to advance cooperation between the Government of Jharkhand and Naveen Jindal Group. These include group’s intent to support Jharkhand’s efforts towards sustainable industrial development, with discussions covering potential investments in steel, clean energy and power infrastructure, aligned with
India’s transition towards a low-carbon economy.
Acknowledging the role of Marang gomke scholarship and the pioneering initiative, the discussions also covered collaboration in skilled education, including scholarship support for students from Jharkhand in partnership.
Expression of intent was also shared for capacity building and training programmes aimed at strengthening institutional capabilities have also been proposed.
