Panchkula (Haryana), January 17: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday released ₹181 crore under the third instalment of the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, directly crediting the amount into the bank accounts of over 8.63 lakh women beneficiaries across the state.
Addressing a press conference in Panchkula, the Chief Minister said women empowerment remains a key priority of the state government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With the latest disbursement, a total of ₹441 crore has now been released under the scheme in three instalments.
The Chief Minister announced that from January 2026, the scope of the Lado Laxmi Yojana has been expanded to include sisters and daughters from families with an annual income of up to ₹1.8 lakh. Mothers of students studying in government schools who score more than 80 percent in Class 10 and 12 board examinations will also be eligible for benefits. Additionally, mothers who successfully address cases of severe or moderate acute malnutrition will be covered under the scheme.
Under the revised structure, ₹1,100 will be deposited directly into beneficiaries’ savings accounts from February 2026, while the remaining ₹1,000 will be placed in government-run RD or FD accounts.
Highlighting support for farmers, the Chief Minister said grants and incentives worth ₹659 crore were released under five agricultural schemes. Under the Crop Residue Management Scheme, incentives amounting to ₹461.75 crore were given to over 5.54 lakh farmers who refrained from stubble burning. Financial assistance of ₹85.10 crore was provided for the purchase of crop residue management machines, while ₹75.54 crore was disbursed to farmers practising direct sowing of paddy.
Under the ‘Mera Pani Meri Virasat’ scheme, ₹15.75 crore was released to 13,500 farmers, while ₹20 crore was paid to over 4,000 potato and cauliflower growers under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana as price difference compensation.
The Chief Minister also announced that a subsidy of ₹18.56 crore was deposited into the accounts of more than 6.08 lakh women for LPG cylinder refills under the Har Ghar Har Grihini scheme.
Reiterating that farmers’ welfare is central to government policy, Shri Saini said these initiatives aim to strengthen rural livelihoods while promoting sustainable agriculture and social security for women.
