New Delhi- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Thursday paid tribute to the revered Tamil saint-poet Thiruvalluvar on the occasion of Thiruvalluvar Day, remembering his enduring contribution to Indian civilisation and moral philosophy.
In a message shared on social media, the Home Minister said that Thiruvalluvar’s life and literary legacy reflect the highest ethical values of Indian culture and continue to inspire generations. He noted that the teachings of the great sage illuminate the path towards a righteous life and a harmonious society.
Amit Shah emphasised that Thiruvalluvar’s timeless wisdom remains relevant even today and will continue to guide the nation on its journey of progress and moral strength.
Thiruvalluvar, best known for the classical Tamil text Tirukkural, is celebrated for his universal teachings on virtue, governance and social conduct. His works hold a significant place in India’s cultural and philosophical heritage.
