‘Viksit Bharat–G RAM G Act’ to Be a Milestone in Nation Building: Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel

Revenue Minister says new law will strengthen rural development, ensure transparency and guarantee 125 days of employment

Palwal: Haryana Revenue, Disaster Management, Urban Local Bodies and Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel on Wednesday said that the Viksit Bharat—Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 (VB—G RAM G) will prove to be a milestone in building a Developed India. Addressing a press conference at the PWD Rest House in Palwal, he said the new law provides 125 days of guaranteed employment to workers with weekly wage payments, ensuring accountability and transparency.

Calling the Act the foundation pillar of rural development, Vipul Goel said it has been introduced to make employment schemes more effective and corruption-free. He accused Congress and Punjab AAP government of being anti-worker and deliberately spreading misinformation against the law.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strengthened the scheme to benefit more people, which the opposition is unable to accept. The minister said the revised law will ensure timely wages, legal accountability and transparency, thereby empowering farmers, labourers and rural communities.

He added that the scheme has been made more transparent to eliminate corruption and delays that existed earlier. Vipul Goel said that earlier employment schemes had several shortcomings, including excessive use of machines instead of labour, delays in wage payments and repetition of already completed works.

The new law addresses these issues through biometric attendance, geo-tagging, satellite imagery, real-time mobile app monitoring and direct benefit transfer (DBT). He said the employment guarantee has been increased from 100 to 125 days, with provisions for compensation and additional interest in case of delayed payments.

The Act focuses on creating permanent rural assets, strengthening the rural economy and ensuring dignity and social security for workers. Emphasising the vision of Developed India–2047, Vipul Goel said the country can progress only when villages develop, states prosper and rural economies become self-reliant.

He assured that the Haryana government is fully committed to implementing the Act across the state with complete transparency, sensitivity and effectiveness. Several BJP leaders, party workers, journalists and photographers were present during the press conference.
