Faridabad : DAV Public School, Sector 14, Faridabad organised its primary Sports Day “Ace the Race” for Classes I, II and III on 6th December 2025 at the Primary Playground. The event celebrated enthusiasm, discipline and the sporting spirit of young DAVians.

The programme began with a warm welcome, followed by live singing and the DAV Gaan. The Sports Meet was inaugurated with a balloon release, mashal lighting and a vibrant parade by the six houses. Principal Ms. Anita Gautam addressed the gathering with inspiring words along with the Supervisory Head, Ms. Rajni Ralhan and coordinator, Ms. Arti Sharma.
The school proudly welcomed its accomplished alumni as chief guests Mr. Ishaan Ganda – Junior India and first-class cricketer, Mr. Shafiq Khan – Veteran first-class cricketer with national accolades, Mr. Anshul – Unbeaten professional boxer and multi-time national medalist, Mr. Pushpender – Five-time national champion and OTT boxing match winner, Mr. Ayush – National champion boxer with international exposure and Ms. Payal Jhakkar – International boxing athlete and Khelo India performer.

A special highlight of the day was the Book Release by our budding young authors, celebrating creativity and literary talent among the students. Their work received heartfelt appreciation from the audience and dignitaries.

The field events included an array of engaging races such as backward race, obstacle race, ball balancing and one-leg race, along with enthusiastic participation from parents in fun races. Students impressed everyone with well-synchronised presentations including the Ball Drill, Dumble Drill, Basketball display, Yoga demonstration and the Pomp Drill finale.

During the ceremony, medals were awarded to winners of martial arts, judo, karate, badminton and various track races, recognising their dedication, skill and sportsmanship.

The programme concluded with the prize distribution, Gratitude Prayer, Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem. Ace the Race beautifully showcased the holistic development of students and the vibrant sporting culture of DAV 14.
