Faridabad, India – In a remarkable display of talent and determination, sisters Riddhima Kaushik and Vidhika Kaushik from Faridabad have clinched two gold medals each at the prestigious Children & Cadets National Kickboxing Championship held recently in Tamil Nadu, bringing home a total of four gold medals and adding another milestone to their already impressive careers.
Students of Delhi Public School, Sector 19, the sisters were given a grand welcome upon their return. Their consistent record-breaking performances have made them rising stars in the Indian martial arts community. The girls are being trained at the Dragon Martial Arts Academy, under the guidance of renowned coaches Santosh Thapa and Divya.
“This championship saw participation from over 1,500 athletes representing various states including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, and Assam. Both Riddhima and Vidhika showcased outstanding skills in the Kick Light and Light Contact categories, securing two gold medals each and making Haryana proud,” said Coach Santosh Thapa.
Representing India at the World Stage
Elder sister Riddhima Kaushik, competing in the 13–15 years age category, is now preparing to represent India at the upcoming Kickboxing World Cup, to be held in Uzbekistan in October 2025. With intense training underway, Riddhima is focused on her goal of winning gold for the country at the international level.
“My dream is to win the World Cup and raise the Indian flag on the global stage,” said Riddhima, expressing her excitement and dedication towards the upcoming competition.
 50+ Gold Medals and Counting
Despite their young age, the Kaushik sisters have already earned a combined tally of over 50 gold medals in Kickboxing and Wushu over the past nine years. Their journey began with self-defense and fitness training, which gradually evolved into a passion for competitive martial arts.
Their parents, Surendra Kaushik and Ritu Kaushik, expressed immense pride in their daughters’ achievements. “We are thrilled to see our daughters continuously excel and bring glory to our state and country. We believe they will continue to achieve even greater heights on the international stage,” they said.
