New Delhi 29 August 2025. Rajasthan Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant said that the state government is committed to providing affordable housing to everyone in the state. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma , many schemes have been implemented to strengthen the urban infrastructure in Rajasthan. Along with this, the policies of the central government are also being implemented effectively at the state level.
Mr Sudhansh Pant was addressing the 17th National Conference of National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) held in New Delhi on Friday . On this occasion, Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Mr Debashish Prusty , Secretary of Local self Government Mr Ravi Jain and Chairperson of RERA Mrs Veenu Gupta were also present.
Addressing the participants present in the conference, Mr. Pant said that in the last few years, under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, there has been a remarkable progress in the urban sector and infrastructure of the country. Whether it is the development of roads in the country or the goal of providing affordable housing to everyone or the goal of providing clean drinking water to every home , Rajasthan has also achieved significant achievements along with the country in all these areas. This year, new township policy and model building bylaws have been launched in Rajasthan , which will provide convenience and speed to new projects.
Chief Secretary Mr. Pant said that to create a better investment environment in any state, it is necessary to simplify policies and procedures. Working in this direction, the process of simplifying old rules and reducing unnecessary burden is going on in Rajasthan. Along with this, Transact Oriented Development and Transferable Development Right (TDR) policy is also being implemented effectively.

He said that this year Rajasthan government has presented a green budget in which special provisions have been made to make cities sustainable and environment friendly. In this, emphasis has been laid on circular economy , sustainable use of resources and making land use more effective.
Mentioning the ” Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit “, Mr Pant said that MoUs for projects worth about Rs 1.25 lakh crore have been signed in the urban sector. Out of these, projects worth of 25,000 crores’s rupees started on the spot , which is a major achievement.
He emphasized that in the last one year, the Rajasthan government has implemented 15 new policies in various sectors including industry , tourism , mining and minerals , civil aviation and energy sector. Some other policies are also being worked on so that cities can be made better , sustainable and livable.
He said that Rajasthan has got a lot of advantage due to its geographical location. Keeping this in mind, we have just announced nine greenfield expressways in the state. These expressways will connect the important cities and major highways of the state , which will accelerate development. He said that the state government is working in collaboration with the central government to start the work of Jaipur Metro Rail Phase -2 .

Mr Pant said that Rajasthan government is also working effectively on other policies and programmes like “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana “, “Jal Jeevan Mission” etc to provide the benefits of development to the common people including providing affordable housing so that cities can be made better , sustainable and livable.
The Chief Secretary assured the participants present in the conference that the mantra of the government is – ” The life of our city and its residents should be simple and easy. ” With this view, schemes are being implemented in the state.
In the conference, Mr. Debashish Prushty participated as a speaker in the panel discussion on ‘ Affordable Housing for All ‘ , Ms. Veenu Gupta in the panel discussion on ‘ Stretching Real Estate Governance: RERA’s Next Chapter ‘ and Mr. Ravi Jain in the panel discussion on ‘ Urban Mobility and Quality of Life ‘ .
