In parallel with the main event in Sambalpur, the Ministry of Education organized mass yoga sessions at four iconic locations across the country — the Delhi University Convention Centre in New Delhi, the sacred Mahabodhi Temple site in Bodh Gaya, Bihar, the historic Mysuru Palace in Karnataka, and the picturesque Somanathapura Temple premises in Somanathapura, Karnataka.

In Delhi, the yoga session witnessed the active participation of the Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Dr. Vineet Joshi; the Assistant Secretary, DoHE, Shri Sunil Kumar Barnwal; the Vice‑Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof. Yogesh Singh, along with faculty, staff, Ministry officials, and students. Together, they performed yoga asanas, pranayama, and relaxation practices in harmony with the Common Yoga Protocol issued for the day.

At Bodh Gaya, the event was jointly hosted by the Central University of South Bihar, IIM Bodh Gaya, and the State and District administration. Meanwhile, in Mysuru, the Central Institute of Indian Languages collaborated with the State and District authorities, and in Somanathapura, the Regional Institute of Education worked closely with local administrators to host the yoga celebrations.

All four venues witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of students, faculty, senior Ministry representatives, and local residents. The celebrations reaffirmed yoga’s role as a universal practice for promoting health, mindfulness, and social harmony. The events highlighted the collective effort of the Ministry of Education and its institutions to spread the benefits of yoga and foster a culture of wellness across communities, aligning with the global theme for the day — “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.
