New Delhi, June 2, 2025 – In a historic first, the Delhi Government, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta, hosted a vibrant cultural program to commemorate Telangana Foundation Day at the Delhi Secretariat today. Organized by the Department of Art, Culture, and Language, the event celebrated the formation of India’s youngest state, Telangana, established on June 2, 2014, honoring its struggle, and rich cultural legacy.

The event showcased Telangana’s vibrant traditions through captivating performances by around 10 artists from the Sahitya Kala Parishad. The program featured iconic folk dances Lambadi, which mesmerized the people connecting them to the cultural heritage of the state. Telangana has a rich tradition of folk dances, music, and local art forms.
The celebration underscored the growing social, cultural, and educational collaboration between Delhi and Telangana. A significant number of Telangana citizens reside in Delhi, contributing immensely to the progress of both their home state and the nation through their dedication and hard work. This event marked a significant step in nurturing unity and celebrating India’s diverse cultural orientation.
