IAF and Indian Army carried out the first precision paradrop of critical health care unit at high altitude

The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Army have successfully conducted a pioneering operation by executing the precise para-drop of a critical trauma care cube at a high-altitude location of approximately 15,000 feet. This marks a significant achievement in high-altitude medical logistics.

The trauma care cubes, developed under Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri), represent a significant advancement in delivering emergency medical care in remote and challenging environments. The project is part of an initiative to enhance healthcare delivery in difficult terrains.

According to the Defence Ministry, the operation aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing essential supplies to areas affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters.

During the mission, the IAF utilized its advanced C-130J Super Hercules aircraft to transport and accurately para-drop the trauma care cube, showcasing the capabilities of modern military logistics in high-altitude operations.
