Delhi Government Assures Uninterrupted Public Services Despite CM Kejriwal’s Arrest

New Delhi, March 26,2024 :In response to concerns arising from the recent arrest of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21, the Delhi government has issued a statement reaffirming that public services, social welfare schemes, and subsidies in the national capital remain unaffected.

Addressing the public, Secretary of the Planning Department, Niharika Rai, emphasized that there is no disruption in the delivery of essential services. She urged citizens not to fall prey to fear-mongering or malicious disinformation surrounding the situation.

“Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, the administration of schemes and governance continues without interruption,” Rai clarified. “The architecture of civil services and established processes in the National Capital Territory of Delhi remains intact, ensuring the smooth continuation of public services, social welfare schemes, and subsidies.”

Rumors suggesting otherwise, Rai stressed, are baseless and misleading. “Social welfare schemes are funded through public funds and are not dependent on any individual or political entity,” she affirmed. “Therefore, there should be no concern regarding the disruption of essential services due to recent developments.”

As the legal process unfolds, the Delhi government reassures the public of its unwavering commitment to serving the people and ensuring the seamless delivery of essential services and welfare schemes across the city.
