Fatehabad, July 25 2024 : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects exceeding Rs 313 crore in Fatehabad district on Thursday. Addressing a large gathering at a ‘Pragati rally’, he announced a slew of initiatives aimed at enhancing local infrastructure and public welfare.
Among the major announcements, Chief Minister Saini allocated Rs 10 crore for ongoing and upcoming development works in the district. He highlighted plans to establish a wildlife treatment centre in Badopal and reiterated the government’s commitment to remove electricity poles obstructing roads and overhead wires over residential buildings at no cost, facilitated by local authorities.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister pledged the installation of large transformers in villages experiencing low voltage, along with the construction of a boosting station in Ward number 13-14, contingent upon land availability. He also underscored the renovation of Fatehabad’s mini bypass as part of broader infrastructural upgrades.
In a strategic move, the government is considering Bhuna for sub-division status and Bhattu for tehsil designation, pending fulfillment of requisite criteria set by a designated committee.

Chief Minister Saini took the opportunity to critique opposition voices demanding accountability, contrasting their previous governance style with the current administration’s mission-oriented approach. He emphasized achievements in reducing corruption and nepotism, facilitating transparent job opportunities, and streamlining pension disbursals for senior citizens.
Highlighting the state’s overall development trajectory under his leadership, Saini cited substantial progress in road infrastructure, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities across Haryana. He noted that international recognition of Haryana’s development efforts underscores the state’s rising global stature.
In a bid to foster inclusivity, Saini announced reservations and age relaxations for Agniveers in Haryana government recruitments and incentives for entrepreneurial ventures initiated by them.
The ‘Pragati rally’ also witnessed the presence of BJP State President Mohan Lal Badoli, who praised Chief Minister Saini’s governance model and urged public support for the upcoming state elections.
Local MLA Dudaram highlighted ongoing and completed development initiatives in Fatehabad, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and public services.
The event was attended by dignitaries including Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala, MLA Laxman Napa, former MP Dr. Ashok Tanwar, and other prominent figures from the region.
