During the visit, attention was focused on addressing unauthorized constructions on Khasra No. 514 in village Hajipur and within the boundaries of Maharishi Trust on Khasra No. 217, 225, and 226 in village Bhangel. Following thorough scrutiny, notices were reissued for the dismantling of illegal structures, and FIRs were filed against those responsible for the encroachments. Furthermore, directives were issued for the immediate sealing of the offending buildings. The scrutiny extended to village Salarpur, where a staggering 30,000 square meters of land (Khasra numbers 700 to 715) had been illegally occupied. Swift action was taken to halt ongoing encroachment activities, with the aid of heavy machinery, including JCBs, deployed to dismantle unauthorized structures.
Notably, the Government of India led the demolition efforts, which were estimated to cost around Rs 180 crore. Significant progress was made in identifying and marking structures erected without legal authorization. Buildings on Khasra numbers 582, 600, 601, 602, 603, 605, 606, 607, 608, 609, and 780 in village Salarpur were clearly labeled as “illegal,” signaling imminent action to dismantle them. Plans are underway to demolish these structures promptly upon completion of necessary procedures. This proactive approach reflects the unwavering commitment of the authorities to safeguard public resources and uphold the integrity of land ownership laws.
