YEIDA celebrates World Environment Day with massive Tree Plantation Drive

Over 1.3 lakh saplings to be planted in 2025-26; senior officials join green initiative in Sector 18 Park

Greater Noida, June 5, 2025: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) launched a significant tree plantation drive to reinforce its commitment to environmental sustainability. The event took place at the Sector 18 Pocket 3D Park, where senior officials led by Additional Chief Executive Officers Nagendra Pratap Singh and Kapil Singh, along with Special Duty Officer Shailendra Kumar Singh, actively participated in the plantation activity.

Several dignitaries including Vishambhar Babu (GM, Finance), Rajendra Bhati (GM, Projects), Anand Mohan Singh (Director, Horticulture), and Virendra Singh (Deputy GM, Personnel), along with other officials, employees, and local villagers, graced the occasion.

Saplings of environment-friendly species such as Chakresia, Moulshree, Champa, and Ashoka were planted, symbolizing the Authority’s proactive step towards restoring ecological balance in the region.

YEIDA has set an ambitious target of planting approximately 1.30 lakh trees during the financial year 2025-26 as part of its broader green development mission.

The event not only marked a commitment to green urban development but also emphasized active community participation in building a sustainable future.
