New Mayor Assumes Office in Presence of Central and Cabinet Ministers

Faridabad, March 31, 2025- The presence of the Triple Engine Government was evident on Monday at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Mayor of Faridabad Municipal Corporation, Praveen Batra Joshi. The event was graced by Central State Minister for Cooperatives Krishan Pal Gurjar, State Minister for Urban Local Bodies Vipul Goel, Food Supplies Minister Rajesh Nagar, and Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam, along with other distinguished dignitaries.

Krishan Pal Gurjar congratulated the new mayor and urged her to accelerate developmental works in the district. He stated that Under the leadership of the Triple Engine Government, Faridabad’s development will soar to new heights. The government will work tirelessly for this purpose. He announced that each ward councilor would receive ₹1 crore for development projects and urged them to start working immediately with the support of officials and government representatives.

State Minister for Urban Local Bodies, Vipul Goel, wished the new mayor success in her role and urged her to work for the public good. He saud that with the mayor elected by the people, historic development will now unfold in the district. This is the golden era for Faridabad.

State Food Supplies Minister Rajesh Nagar assured the public that the Triple Engine Government will function as a unified team. The government will ensure there is no gap in the district’s development. Every representative is working towards the path of progress.

After assuming office, Mayor Praveen Joshi addressed the media, stating that her top priority would be improving sanitation and providing basic amenities to the residents of Faridabad. She expressed her commitment to meeting the expectations of the city’s citizens and thanked the ministers, councilors, officials, and office bearers present at the ceremony.

The event was attended by several prominent leaders, including BJP National Secretary and Former State President Omprakash Dhanekar, MLAs Mulchand Sharma, Dhanesh Adlakha, Satish Fagna, Harender Ramratan, along with Ballabgarh District President Sohanpal Chhokar, Faridabad District President Pankaj Poojan Rampal, and other dignitaries.

Faridabad Municipal Commissioner A. Mona Srinivas congratulated Mayor Praveen Joshi and assured that the municipal administration would wholeheartedly prioritize and execute developmental projects as per her directions.
