Mayor Praveen Joshi Directs Officials to Work for Enhancing City’s Beauty, Appeals to Citizens to Avoid Polythene Use and Support Cleanliness Efforts

Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Mrs. Praveen Joshi, held a meeting on Tuesday with municipal officials to discuss various issues concerning the city. The meeting was attended by the Additional Commissioner of the Faridabad Municipal Corporation, as well as the Joint Commissioners from all zones.

During the meeting, Mayor Joshi issued instructions to improve the city’s sanitation system. She directed officials to work towards enhancing the aesthetic appeal of Faridabad and specifically ordered action against unauthorized advertisements put up in different parts of the city.

She also emphasized the need to clean major drains across the city before the monsoon season and to remove the construction and demolition waste lying around in public places.

Mayor Joshi made an appeal to the residents of Faridabad to avoid the use of banned polythene. She stated that polythene not only contributes to the growing litter in the city but also harms Mother Earth by causing pollution. She urged the officials to strictly enforce the ban on polythene to mitigate its negative impact.

Additionally, she addressed the issue of encroachments in the city. She announced that markings will be made in market areas to ensure that shopkeepers do not place goods outside the designated zones, allowing easier movement for customers in these areas.

Additional Commissioner Gaurav Antil, Joint Commissioner (Old) Rajesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner Hitendra Kumar, Joint Commissioner Dwija, Chief Engineer, Senior Engineer, and other officials attended the meeting.
