Gorakhpur, August 18, 2026; Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday participated in a conference of Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) personnel in Gorakhpur and announced the rollout of a cashless medical facility aimed at strengthening healthcare support for members of the force.

The Chief Minister said the welfare of personnel serving the state must remain an integral part of Uttar Pradesh‘s development agenda. He highlighted measures being undertaken to upgrade accommodation, infrastructure and other facilities available to police personnel and PRD volunteers.

Addressing the gathering, Yogi Adityanath said government initiatives should benefit people across different sections of society rather than being limited to any particular group. He welcomed the introduction of the new medical scheme and congratulated PRD officers and volunteers for the facility.

The Chief Minister also referred to the construction of modern barracks for police personnel across the state. He said infrastructure development was being expanded to ensure better living and working conditions for those associated with law enforcement and public service.

He noted that high-rise accommodation facilities have also been developed for PRD personnel in Lucknow, describing such projects as part of the broader effort to improve welfare infrastructure.

The event comes days after Yogi Adityanath announced a new initiative focused on supporting young people in employment and entrepreneurship. During the Independence Day celebrations, he said the state would introduce the Youth Brigade Scheme, aimed at providing greater assistance to young entrepreneurs and those seeking business opportunities.

The Chief Minister also recalled the contributions of freedom fighters and revolutionary figures, including Mangal Pandey, Rani Lakshmibai, Avanti Bai and Jhalkari Bai Kori, while emphasising the sacrifices that contributed to India’s freedom.

The launch of the cashless healthcare scheme marks another welfare measure directed towards PRD personnel, who assist the state administration and law enforcement agencies in maintaining public order and supporting communities during various situations.
