Patna: At the Bihar Day celebrations organised by the Government of Bihar at Gandhi Maidan, the Patna Municipal Corporation’s cultural stage highlighted a strong cleanliness message through traditional Chhath songs under the theme “Swachh Bihar, Swachh Patna.”

The second day of events was inaugurated by Patna Mayor Sita Sahu, who urged citizens to keep the city clean. Brand ambassador of the cleanliness campaign of the Patna Municipal Corporation, Dr Nitu Kumari Navgeet, extended Chhath greetings and performed traditional devotional songs, creating a spiritual atmosphere while stressing that Chhath is both a festival of faith and cleanliness and its hygiene values should be followed year-round.

Other performers including Rakesh Kumar, Ladli Pandey, Pankaj Dev, and Chandra Bhushan presented folk songs, supported by musicians Sanjay Mishra, Prince, Dhananjay Kumar, and Ashok Kumar.
The Navgeetika Lok Rasdhar troupe showcased Bihar Gaurav Gatha and folk dances such as Domkach, Kajri, Jhijhiya, Sohar, and Jat-Jatin along with cleanliness-themed performances. In the second session, a poetry symposium titled “Swachhata Ke Rang, Yuva Kavi Ke Sang” was held under the chairmanship of Sanjay Kumar Kundan, where young poets including Aradhana Prasad, Jyoti Jha, Avinash Bandhu, Ravi Kishan, Vikas Kumar, Mohammad Irshad Siddiqui Shibu, and Kumar Amresh recited poems centered on cleanliness and pledged to keep Patna clean and beautiful.
