Patna: On the auspicious occasion of Chhath, the Patna Municipal Corporation organized a cleanliness awareness program on the banks of the Ganga River. The event featured a soulful performance of traditional Chhath songs by Bihar’s renowned folk singer, Dr. Neetu Kumari Navgeet, creating a completely devotional atmosphere.
Speaking about the significance of cleanliness during Chhath, Dr. Neetu Kumari Navgeet emphasized that this festival of faith is also a festival of cleanliness. She highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness not just during Chhath but throughout the year.
During the event, she performed several popular Chhath songs, including “Kaanch Hi Baans Ke Bahangiya, Bahangi Lachakat Jaye”, “Surya Bhagwan Ka Sohar”, “Kelwa Ke Paat Par Uglen Suraj Dev”, “Sona Satkunia He Deenanath”, and “Chhathi Mai Ke Karab Hum Baratiya”. She also sang cleanliness-themed songs and devotional hymns dedicated to the goddess.
Other singers, including Chandan Ugna, Rajesh Kesari, and Nishant, also captivated the audience with their performances. The cultural program was further enriched with musical accompaniment by Ashish Pandit on Pad, Dheeraj Pandey on Naal, and Sanjay Mishra on Casio, enhancing the melodies presented by the singers.
