Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched the NATS Portal 2.0

Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan has launched the National Apprenticeship and Training Scheme (NATS) 2.0 Portal and disbursed 100 crore rupees in stipends to apprentices through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode in New Delhi.

The apprentices, who are undergoing training in various sectors including Information Technology, manufacturing, and automobile, will benefit from this initiative. It reflects the Government’s focus on enhancing skilling and improving the employability of youth.

At the launch event, Pradhan emphasized that the NATS Portal 2.0 aims to democratize apprenticeship, address the skills gap, meet youth aspirations, and prepare them for the future.

He noted that this year’s budget also prioritizes boosting skilling and employment. Pradhan encouraged educational institutions and industries to participate in the NATS 2.0 portal. UGC Chairman Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar praised the government’s initiative, stating that the portal is essential for supporting the country’s growth and assisting the youth.
