Security Forces neutralize LeT Mastermind Quari in ongoing Rajouri Operation

Jammu, 23 Nov 23– In a significant development, security forces have successfully neutralized a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, identified as Quari, believed to be the mastermind behind the Dhangri terrorist attack, along with another militant in an ongoing gunfight in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation, which intensified at first light, witnessed a strong response from the Army and police in the Bajumal village of Kalakote.

This successful mission comes on the heels of a tragic incident on Wednesday, where four Army personnel, including two officers, lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries in the line of duty.

The LeT terrorist, Quari, a Pakistan National, had undergone training in Pakistan and Afghan Front, holding a high-ranking position within the Lashkar-e-Taiba organization. He had been actively involved in the Rajouri-Poonch region for the past year, leading a group and orchestrating attacks, including the Dhangri and Kandi incidents in Rajouri district.

Described as an expert in improvised explosive devices (IEDs), cave operations, and sniper tactics, Quari was sent with the mission to revive terrorism in the region. The Dhangri attack, occurring on January 1 and 2, resulted in six fatalities and 14 injuries in separate incidents of shooting and firing.

The successful neutralization of Quari marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to curb terrorism in the region, with security forces demonstrating their commitment to maintaining peace and security in Jammu and Kashmir.
