Prime Minister Narendra Modi Set for Gujarat Visit with Major Projects and Key Inaugurations

New Delhi, March 30, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Gujarat on March 31, where he is scheduled to launch a series of significant initiatives spanning culture, technology, and infrastructure, along with addressing multiple public gatherings across the state.

The visit will begin in Gandhinagar, where the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Samrat Samprati Museum at Koba Tirth on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The museum highlights the rich legacy of Jainism through rare artefacts, manuscripts, and immersive digital exhibits, offering visitors a detailed journey through its historical and spiritual evolution.

Later in the day, he will visit Sanand in Ahmedabad to inaugurate the Kaynes Semicon Plant, marking a key development in India’s semiconductor sector. The facility will begin commercial production of advanced power modules used in industrial and automotive applications, strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and supporting the country’s push towards technological self reliance.

In the final leg of his visit, the Prime Minister will reach Vav Tharad, where he will launch and lay the foundation for multiple development works valued at over twenty thousand crore rupees. These projects cover sectors such as transport, energy, railways, health services, urban expansion, and rural and tribal development.

Among the major highlights are the inauguration of the Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway, key railway upgrades, renewable energy transmission systems, urban infrastructure projects, and water supply schemes aimed at improving connectivity and quality of life across several regions of Gujarat.

The Prime Minister will also unveil tourism initiatives, healthcare facilities, and educational infrastructure, reinforcing the government’s focus on inclusive growth and regional development.
