New Delhi, 30th January 2025– Delhi Police was honored with the Best Marching Contingent Trophy for its outstanding performance during the Republic Day Parade 2025 at a prestigious trophy presentation ceremony held at RR Camp, Delhi Cantt. at 1230 hrs on 30th January 2025.
Shri Sanjay Seth, Hon’ble Raksha Rajya Mantri (Minister of State for Defence), presented the awards to the best marching contingents and tableaus, recognizing their exceptional discipline, coordination, and performance during the parade.

The Best Marching Contingent Trophy was received by Delhi Police senior officers:
•Sh. Neeraj Thakur, IPS (Special CP/Armed Police Division)
•Sh. M.N. Tiwari, IPS (Jt. CP/Armed Police)
•Dr. Rakesh Bansal, IPS (Addl. CP/Armed Police)
•Sh. Krishan Kumar (DCP/4th Battalion)
•Sh. Rishi Kumar Singh, IPS, Addl. DCP (Parade Commander)
•Sh. Bhagwati Prasad (ACP/4th Battalion)
•Inspr Ramesh Tushir (CDI/4th Battalion, DAP)
Following the ceremony, Sh. Sanjay Arora, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, invited the contingent members to his office, where he personally congratulated them for their outstanding performance and dedication. He praised their commitment to maintaining high standards of discipline and professionalism and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire contingent.


The event was marked with great enthusiasm, as senior officials commended the participants for their rigorous training and perseverance. The Best Marching Trophy stands as a symbol of excellence and dedication, reinforcing the spirit of discipline and commitment among the force.
Sh. Rishi Kumar Singh, IPS (2021 batch), currently serving as Additional DCP of Central District, who received the Best Marching Continent Trophy, is born in Lucknow, he studied across UP before graduating in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from BITS Pilani. A passionate swimmer and the best swimmer of NPA, he recently completed the 2024 Goa 70.3 Ironman Triathlon in a relay team.
