DC Dhirendra Khadgata inaugurated New Library: A Knowledge Gateway in Nuh District

Nuh, 23 December 2023– In a significant development, DC Dhirendra Khadgata inaugurated a library at the Bal Bhavan in the Pinagwan town of the Nuh district today. Welcoming the chief guests, District Child Welfare Officer Kamalesh Shastri presented floral greetings during the ceremony.

The chief guest for the occasion, Dhirendra Khadgata, DC of Nuuh, and the special guest, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, IPS, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India, were welcomed by Manish Sharma, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Punhana, during the program.

Addressing the gathering, DC emphasized that the newly established library would benefit not only the Pinagwan town but also students from neighboring villages, aiding them in preparing for competitive exams. The establishment of the library was spearheaded by A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Minority Trust, with Dr. Shabnam Qureshi, Chairperson of the trust, highlighting the importance of libraries in providing educational opportunities, especially for economically disadvantaged children.

Dr. Qureshi further noted that the trust has successfully set up six libraries in various schools across the district, including Gandhi Gram Ghasera, Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School Nuh, Bal Bhavan Gurugram, Rajkiya Kanya Varishth Madhyamik Vidyalaya Ghasera, and Bal Bhavan Nuh. These libraries house a diverse collection of books, including those recommended by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), covering subjects from UPSC to Class 6 to 12, facilitating students in enhancing their subject knowledge and general awareness.

Dr. Qureshi also shared that the trust operates sewing centers in Singar, Umra, Malab, Patuka, and other villages to nurture the skill talents of girls. Haseena, a student from Singar village, started a sewing center at home, providing education to illiterate women and enabling drop-out students to fill forms and appear for 10th and 12th-grade exams.

As part of the program, Ashraf Mevati, Coordinator of the District National Service Scheme Program, conducted the stage, and students from Rajkiya Kanya Varishth Madhyamik Vidyalaya Pinagwan sang a welcome song, while students from Tularam Geeta Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School recited shlokas.

In attendance were Jaan Mohammad, Chairman of the District Council, and lifelong member of Bal Bhavan Yadram Garg, along with Shyamsundar, Naresh, Satish, Surendra, Dharmendra, Manish, Mahaveer, Salamu Qureshi, Sanjeev, and Asgar Sarpanch of Rahpua, Sarpanch of Dhaana Aslam, Sarpanch of Boobalheri, Deepak Bhardwaj, Principal Giriraj, along with the trust’s managers Ehsaan, Ravindra, and various esteemed individuals from the region.
