Renovation of Nearly 2000 Schools Completed to Boost Educational Environment

Raipur, July 03, 2024: Government schools in Chhattisgarh villages are undergoing significant renovations to improve the learning environment for children. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana,’ a total of 1991 schools in Mahasamund, Kanker, Surguja, and Rajnandgaon districts have been renovated.

During a recent education department review meeting, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai instructed all district collectors to expedite school repairs and renovations. Following this directive, the renovation work across districts has gained momentum, with schools being attractively redecorated.

The renovations include installing concrete roofs, classroom tiles, paver blocks in school premises, and painting. Additionally, schools are being beautified with informative and artistic paintings, and necessary facilities and additional rooms are being constructed as needed.

As the new academic session begins, schools are celebrating ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav,’ leading to increased student and parent interest and higher enrollment. The improved aesthetics and enhanced facilities are encouraging parents to choose these government schools for their children’s education.

Under the Mukhyamantri School Jatan Yojana, renovations have been completed in 333 schools in Mahasamund, 1104 in Surguja, 280 in Rajnandgaon, and 374 in Kanker district
