Delhi, May 16, 2024 :- St. Stephen’s School, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), kickstarted the three-day National Pre-Yoga Olympiad held at its premises on a grand level. The event, inaugurated on 16th May by Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, the esteemed Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE, witnessed a remarkable display of talent and dedication in the field of yoga.
Under the distinguished patronage of Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, the opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Mr. Barry Francis, the Principal of St. Stephen’s School, Chandigarh, who delivered the warm welcome address. The event was attended by numerous principals from across the country, signifying the widespread interest and support for promoting holistic well-being through yoga. Mr. Barry Francis in his address expressed confidence that with yoga, we will not only improve our health but also our overall wellbeing.
Mr. Francis further informed that a total of 180 participants from 10 diverse regions will showcase their exceptional talent and skill, reflecting the rich cultural diversity and unity of our nation. Through various yoga asanas and practices, the participants demonstrated not only physical prowess but also mental discipline and spiritual harmony.
He said as the curtains rose on this memorable event, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the participants for their exemplary performances. The winners of the National Pre-Yoga Olympiad have earned well-deserved recognition and secured their positions in the upcoming NCERT Yoga Olympiad scheduled for June.
