Iran Expresses Gratitude to India During Missile Strikes on US and Israel

Tehran Highlights Support from Global Nations Amid Rising Tensions

Mumbai, March 27, 2026: Iran publicly acknowledged India for its “support and solidarity” as the country conducted its 83rd wave of missile strikes targeting strategic installations in the United States and Israel. The Consulate General of Iran in Mumbai shared a note on social media expressing appreciation to the “people of India” along with other countries.

The consulate also posted images of handwritten notes thanking citizens of Germany, Spain, Pakistan, and India for their perceived support during the military operations. Officials said these gestures were intended to reinforce diplomatic ties and convey recognition for nations that remained neutral or sympathetic during the ongoing conflict.

The latest series of missile strikes reportedly targeted military facilities, fuel storage depots, and maintenance centers across the region, including US bases and Israeli strategic sites. According to reports, the attacks employed a combination of long-range and medium-range missiles, precision-guided systems, and drone-based munitions, including loitering and suicide drones.

Iran’s military claimed that these strikes were part of Operation True Promise 4, aiming to neutralize key logistical and operational capacities of opposing forces. Analysts noted that the scale of the strikes underscores Iran’s growing missile and drone capabilities in the region.

The United States has indicated a willingness to de-escalate tensions temporarily. President Donald Trump mentioned that Iran had requested a pause on American strikes targeting its energy infrastructure, extending the period to ten days until April 6.

Security experts say that Iran’s public recognition of India and other nations is part of a broader effort to strengthen diplomatic messaging while maintaining military pressure. Such communications may also aim to influence international perceptions of the conflict.

The handwritten notes, circulated widely on social media, have drawn attention from observers who see them as symbolic gestures designed to highlight solidarity amid regional hostilities.

Despite the temporary pause in strikes on energy facilities, the overall situation remains tense, with military analysts warning that further escalation could affect regional security and international trade routes.

The developments have prompted several countries to closely monitor the situation and maintain diplomatic channels to prevent a broader confrontation in West Asia.

Authorities continue to assess the operational impact of the strikes and are preparing for possible further retaliatory actions, emphasizing the fragile balance between diplomacy and military engagement in the region.
