New Delhi, 10 JULY 2026: Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal addressed the MP LEAD Fellows during a special interactive session at Vanijya Bhawan, emphasizing that “Investing in youth is the greatest capital for a developed India.” He stated that India’s future lies in the strength of its young population and that the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 can only be realized through the active participation and leadership of the country’s youth.

In his address, Goyal elaborated on the transformative journey towards Viksit Bharat @2047, highlighting the crucial role of young people in nation-building and leadership development. He noted that India is home to one of the world’s largest youth populations and that providing quality education, skill development, opportunities, and mentorship will enable the country to emerge as a global leader.

Shri Goyal encouraged the fellows to aspire to become job creators rather than job seekers, underscoring the importance of startups, innovation, and youth-driven enterprise in building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.

On the occasion, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Dr. Ajeet Gopchade said that the MP LEAD Fellowship aims to connect talented young individuals with leadership, public service, and the policymaking process. He emphasized that the energy, innovation, and positive outlook of the youth are among the greatest strengths in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. He expressed his gratitude to Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal for interacting with the fellows and congratulated the selected participants, encouraging them to contribute actively to nation-building.
