New Delhi, June 12- Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta today inaugurated a cutting-edge 3D mammography unit at Dharamshila Narayana Superspeciality Hospital. Speaking at the event, the CM stated that the newly launched unit will help in the early detection of breast cancer among women, enabling timely treatment and improving survival rates. Equipped with advanced digital technology, the unit offers fast and accurate diagnostics using the latest medical equipment.

The Chief Minister emphasized the emotional and financial toll of cancer on families, adding that medical advancements today have made timely detection and effective treatment possible.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to public health, CM Rekha Gupta announced that after a decade-long halt, permanent appointments in government hospitals have resumed. Over 1,300 new permanent nurses have been recruited, and every government hospital now has a designated Medical Superintendent to improve hospital management.

The CM further stated that ‘Jan Aushadhi Kendras’ have been set up in all government hospitals, providing medicines at 50–70% lower prices. Additionally, central government health schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Vay Vandana Yojana have been implemented in Delhi, offering eligible beneficiaries treatment coverage of up to ₹10 lakh.

Sharing the government’s futuristic plans, the CM revealed the upcoming launch of 1,139 ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandirs’ under the Ayushman Bharat Mission, inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision. These health centers aim to provide accessible medical services near every home in Delhi.

“The Delhi government is working tirelessly to make the capital a Global Health Treatment Hub, where not only citizens of India but people from across the globe come for world-class treatment,” said CM Rekha Gupta. “It is our solemn commitment that no patient in Delhi should lose their life due to lack of treatment.”

In her concluding remarks, the Chief Minister said, “Serving humanity is akin to serving God. When society steps forward to help the needy, it is the truest form of worship.” She lauded doctors as real-life warriors and symbols of true patriotism, acknowledging their dedication and selfless efforts in saving lives.
