New Delhi/Patna, 16 July 2026: The Bihar Pavilion, set up by the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar at Bharat Tex 2026 being held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, continued to be a major attraction on the third day of the event. The pavilion witnessed a large number of visitors, including industry leaders, policymakers, buyers, textile entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders, who explored Bihar’s rapidly growing textile and apparel sector, investor-friendly policies, and industrial opportunities.

Among the distinguished visitors on the third day were S. Savitha, Minister for Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Andhra Pradesh; Jawed Ashraf, Chairman, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO); Dr. Mahendra B. Dhawale, Deputy Director, Directorate of Sericulture, Maharashtra; and Rohit Chandra, Nominated Member, Bihar State Entrepreneur and Trader Commission, who visited the Bihar Pavilion.


On the occasion, Dr. Vidya Nand Singh, Director, Directorate of Handloom & Sericulture; Aman Samir, Director, MSME; and Mukul Kumar Gupta, Director of Industries, were present. The dignitaries were briefed about Bihar’s investment opportunities in the textile and apparel sector, industry-friendly policies, skill development initiatives, and the state’s rapidly evolving industrial ecosystem. They appreciated Bihar’s rich textile and handicraft heritage, GI-tagged products, investment potential, and the government’s sustained efforts to accelerate industrial development.
The Bihar Pavilion is effectively showcasing the state’s rich textile traditions, GI-tagged products, handicrafts, modern industrial vision, and vast investment opportunities across the textile and apparel value chain. During the exhibition, several investors, industry representatives, and buyers expressed keen interest in exploring investment and expansion opportunities in Bihar.


The overwhelming response received on the third day of Bharat Tex 2026 reflects Bihar’s emergence as one of India’s promising destinations for textile and apparel investments. With its rich heritage, skilled workforce, progressive policies, and rapidly developing industrial ecosystem, Bihar is steadily strengthening its position as an attractive investment destination for the textile sector.
The Department of Industries has invited investors, industry representatives, and visitors to visit the Bihar Pavilion at Hall 11, Stall A4, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, until 17 July 2026, to explore the immense opportunities available in Bihar’s textile and apparel sector.
