Explosions Reported Near Dubai Airport as Middle East Tensions Escalate; Saudi Arabia Warns Iran Against ‘Miscalculation’

Dubai Airport Explosion Scare Amid US-Israel-Iran Tensions; Saudi Arabia Warns Iran Against Miscalculation

Dubai/Riyadh/Tehran, March 7:  Amid the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, loud explosions were reported in the skies above Dubai late Friday, triggering panic near the city’s main aviation hub, Dubai International Airport.

Witnesses said they heard a powerful blast and saw smoke trails in the sky, prompting speculation that the incident might be linked to the ongoing regional conflict.

Officials in the United Arab Emirates later clarified that the airport itself was not targeted. According to authorities, the sound of the explosion was likely caused by debris falling after air defence systems intercepted a projectile in the region.

Airport operations continued with caution, although some flights experienced short delays as security agencies assessed the situation.

As tensions mount, Saudi Arabia urged Iran to avoid any “miscalculation” that could further destabilize the Gulf region. Saudi officials warned that additional strikes or retaliatory moves could draw more countries into the conflict and threaten regional security and global trade routes.

The confrontation between the United States and Israel on one side and Iran on the other has raised concerns about a broader conflict across the Middle East. Several Gulf nations have increased security measures, while air defence systems remain on high alert amid fears of missile or drone attacks.

Strategic cities and economic hubs in the Gulf region are being closely monitored as governments work to ensure the safety of civilians and critical infrastructure.
