The Impressive TimesFARIDABAD : DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad, organised a Tree Plantation Drive followed by an Awareness Programme aimed at fostering environmental consciousness and sensitising students towards traffic safety and cyber security.
The occasion was graced by the Inspector Anoj Kumar, Traffic Tau – Shri Virender Singh Ji, Dr. Ramesh Dagar – President, Educators’ Club, Vice President Ms Anita Gautam (Principal DAVPS Sector 14) and various other dignitaries of Educators’ Club and members of the police team.
The day began with the Tree Plantation Drive, in which the dignitaries and students participated enthusiastically. Numerous saplings were planted in the school premises, symbolising a collective commitment to environmental conservation and a greener future. This was followed by ceremonial lamp lighting and a graceful Ganesha Vandana.
The Principal, Ms. Jyoti Dahiya, welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the significance of developing environmental sensitivity among young minds. The students presented an engaging skit on Cyber Security, emphasising the importance of vigilance and responsible use of technology.
Dr. Ramesh Dagar, President, Educators’ Club, apprised the gathering about the Club, its vision and its initiatives. Traffic Tau, Shri Virender Singh Ji then interacted with the students and shared valuable insights on traffic awareness, cyber security and the importance of staying drug-free, encouraging them to make safe and responsible choices.
The session offered practical guidance on road safety, digital security and environmental conservation, making it an enriching experience for the students. The event concluded with Shanti Path, followed by the National Anthem, bringing the occasion to a dignified close. The initiative reinforced the message that responsible actions today can pave the way for a safer, greener and better tomorrow.
