Bihar Minister Shravan Kumar Joins NCC Cadets in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Pledge at Nalanda Heritage Site

Silao: The historic Nalanda World Heritage Site witnessed a strong display of patriotism on Wednesday as NCC cadets participated in a special ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan 2026’ programme organised by the 38 Bihar Battalion NCC ahead of Independence Day.

Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, the chief guest, addressed the cadets and said the Tricolour represents the nation’s honour, sovereignty and pride. He urged people to carry the message of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ from villages to every household and take a pledge to protect the dignity of the national flag.

Led by Battalion Commanding Officer Colonel Rajesh Bahari, the NCC cadets took part in a Tiranga rally across the heritage premises. Patriotic slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” echoed through the historic site, while patriotic songs added to the spirit of the occasion. Colonel Rajesh Bahari said NCC is not merely about parades but also about developing discipline, leadership and a spirit of national service.

The cadets also encouraged visitors to hoist the Tricolour at their homes as part of the campaign. Minister Shravan Kumar said carrying the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ message from the historic land of Nalanda was a matter of pride and emphasised that the campaign would help strengthen patriotism and national unity among the younger generation.

The event was attended by Archaeological Department officials—including Conservation Assistants Vikram Jha, Rishi Kumar, Bantu Singh, and Dhananjay Dev—along with local social workers and a large number of senior NCC officers and cadets.The event concluded with the National Anthem.
