Lucknow, April 8: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today handed over the allotment letter for 75 hectares of land at the Chitrakoot node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor to Manoj Jain.
The initiative is aimed at promoting investment, innovation, and employment in the defence sector, strengthening India’s mission of self-reliance. Officials said the project will facilitate modern manufacturing facilities and provide a boost to defence production capabilities in the region.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the corridor will bring new economic and technological opportunities to the state, helping local industries grow while creating high-tech jobs for youth. The project is expected to attract investors and foster innovation in defence manufacturing.
Senior officials and industry representatives present at the event lauded the move, describing it as a milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s roadmap for industrial and technological growth.
The land allocation marks a key step in strengthening the state’s defence ecosystem and supporting the government’s broader ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ objectives.
Officials confirmed that further developments, including infrastructure setup and operational timelines, will be announced in the coming months.
