Delhi Police Arrest 3, Seize Over 1 Kg Heroin Worth ₹2 Crore in Interstate Drug Bust

New Delhi, March 10, 2026: Delhi Police have arrested three alleged drug traffickers and seized more than one kilogram of heroin with an estimated international market value of ₹2 crore, officials said on Tuesday. The arrests have also led to the exposure of an interstate narcotics network operating between Uttar Pradesh and the national capital.

The accused have been identified as Faeem Beg, Kayum Khan and Amir Khan, all residents of Uttar Pradesh. According to investigators, the trio was involved in the production and supply of heroin to drug peddlers across Delhi-NCR as well as several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Shamli and Saharanpur.

Police said the operation began after they received specific information on February 22 that Faeem Beg would deliver a heroin consignment near the Anand Vihar railway underpass in east Delhi. Acting on the tip-off, a police team laid a trap in the area and conducted a raid.

During the operation, Beg and Kayum Khan were intercepted near the underpass. Officers recovered two packets of heroin from their possession weighing 101 grams and 601 grams, respectively.

Following their arrest, police registered a case and launched further investigation. During questioning, Beg allegedly revealed that he had been sourcing heroin through contacts in his native village in Bareilly and supplying the narcotic to peddlers operating across Delhi-NCR and parts of western Uttar Pradesh.

Based on the information provided during interrogation, police teams carried out additional raids in Uttar Pradesh. On February 27, they arrested Amir Khan, who was allegedly a key member of the network. Acting on his disclosure, officers recovered another 301 grams of heroin hidden in farmland belonging to his family.

With the latest seizure, the total quantity of heroin recovered in the case has crossed one kilogram, which police estimate to be worth around ₹2 crore in the international market.

Investigators said Amir Khan played a crucial role in the syndicate by arranging the procurement of heroin from suppliers and distributing it through couriers to different locations, including Delhi. Police records show that he had previously been involved in three narcotics-related cases.

Kayum Khan, according to the police, used to obtain heroin in bulk from Beg and distribute it among local peddlers operating in the Seemapuri area of northeast Delhi.

Authorities said efforts are currently underway to track down other members connected to the drug network and dismantle the wider supply chain.
