Dehradun , 11 March ,2024 – On Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami facilitated a significant employment drive by distributing appointment letters to 84 candidates across multiple state government departments. The ceremony, held at the Chief Servant House, saw the allocation of positions to diverse professionals.
Among the recipients were 31 distinguished players of Uttarakhand, who were selected for various roles under the Sports Policy-2021. These individuals were granted out-of-turn employment in departments such as Sports, Home, Youth Welfare, and Forest.
Additionally, 25 Junior Assistants were appointed in the Transport Department, while 28 Assistant Accountants received their placements in the Horticulture Department.
During the event, Chief Minister Dhami extended his congratulations and best wishes to all the successful candidates, emphasizing their attainment through hard work and dedication. He urged the appointees to execute their duties with sensitivity, responsibility, and accountability, stating, “The more honestly, diligently, and hard work you do, the easier and simpler your path ahead will be.”
Referring to the Sports Policy 2021, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to providing out-of-turn jobs to players who excel in national and international competitions. He emphasized the significance of incentivizing and supporting sports in the state, ensuring adequate facilities and encouragement for athletes.
Chief Minister Dhami also lauded the government’s efforts in ensuring transparency in the employment process, underscoring the crackdown on malpractices such as document forgery.
He revealed that within three months, approximately five thousand youths had been employed across various departments, including Nursing Officer, Forest Guard, Assistant Accountant, Deputy Jailor, and Prison Guard, among others. Over the past two and a half years, the government has provided employment to more than 20 thousand individuals.
Highlighting the national context, Dhami credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spearheading a historic employment drive, emphasizing the unprecedented opportunities being created under his leadership.
Assuring continued efforts towards employment generation, the Chief Minister announced plans for future initiatives, including a focus on self-employment through portals like Prayag Portal and Yuva Uttarakhand App. These platforms enable youth to register for self-employment opportunities and access loans for ventures such as homestays and beekeeping.
In conclusion, Chief Minister Dhami reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the state’s development, emphasizing the distribution of appointment letters as a testament to their resolve.
