‘SANTA KI SEEKH’ Delhi Police conduct Citywide Cyber Awareness Campaign

• Recaches out to a large number of audiences across Delhi

New Delhi : Delhi Police continued its efforts to promote cyber safety and digital awareness by organizing a comprehensive Citywide Cyber Awareness Campaign during this festive season. The campaign was conducted across all 15 police districts of Delhi at one prominent location each having high public footfall, such as markets and malls, to effectively reach a large and diverse audience. The primary objective was to educate citizens on cyber-crimes, online frauds, safe digital practices, and essential precautionary measures to stay protected while using online platforms.

The cyber awareness initiative was executed in a well-planned manner using innovative and interactive methods to maximize public engagement and impact.

On Ground Outreach Programme

The ground-level outreach programme was held today at one prominent location each in all 15 police districts. Several interactive learning activities, including cyber safety quizzes and games, were organized to actively engage the public. To encourage participation and acknowledge public involvement, small gift items carrying printed cyber awareness messages were distributed to the participants. Additionally, standees and posters on cyber safety awareness were displayed at the venues, lectures, question-answer sessions, captivating Nukkad Natak performances on cybercrime awareness highlighting the  importance of online safety were also held.

The primary objective of the programme was to disseminate crucial cyber safety messages to a large audience congregating in markets and public areas during the festive period. Citizens were counselled to exercise vigilance, refrain from sharing personal or sensitive information online, and promptly report cyber-crime related incidents to the concerned authorities.

This citywide campaign is a component of Delhi Police’s ongoing initiatives to combat cybercrime, undertaken under the leadership of  Satish Golchha, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi.

Recently, Delhi Police has organised multiple cyber safety awareness programmes, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring citizen safety in the digital domain.
