Faridabad: The Haryana Chapter of the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE), in association with the Faridabad Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (FOGS), successfully organised HIAGECON 2025, its annual state conference witnessing enthusiastic participation from obstetricians and gynaecologists across the country.
The two-day conference recorded 372 registrations and featured a comprehensive, well-structured scientific programme.
A major highlight of the conference was the Live Surgery Workshop, during which 22 advanced gynaecological laparoscopic procedures were performed by eminent experts including Dr. Kalyan Barmade, Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, Dr. Sujal Munshi, Dr. Nisha Kapoor, Dr. Sudha Tandon, Dr. Pandit Palaskar, Dr. Nutan Jain, Dr. Nikita Trehan, and Dr. Seema Manuja, Dr Mohil.Patel, Dr Rohan Krishnakumar and Dr Farendra
The surgeries included fibroid removal, hysterectomy, ovarian cyst surgery, prolapse repair, polyp removal, fertility-enhancing surgeries, surgeries for endometriosis, uterine cancer surgery, and tubal recanalisation. The surgeries were relayed from five parallel operation theatres at Marengo Asia Hospital, Faridabad, with expert moderation. All patients recovered well and were discharged within 48hrs
The inaugural ceremony in the evening was followed by a vibrant cultural programme, which included an engaging skit performed by gynaecologists highlighting the benefits of laparoscopic surgery in modern gynaecological practice
The scientific sessions featured interactive deliberations by faculty from Haryana, Delhi NCR, and other states, offering valuable academic insights and practical learning.
The organising committee expressed its gratitude to IAGE President Dr. Kalyan Barmade, IAGE Secretary Dr. Sujal Munshi for providing the opportunity to host this prestigious academic event.

The coordinated teamwork ensured the smooth execution of the conference
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Nisha Kapoor, President of the Haryana Chapter of IAGE, stated that the primary objective of HIAGECON 2025 was to encourage young gynaecologists to acquire skills in advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery, thereby extending the benefits of laparoscopy surgery to women across India.
HIAGECON 2025 concluded successfully, reinforcing the position of Haryana IAGE as a significant academic platform in the field of gynaecological endoscopy.
