The Impressive TimesMumbai (Maharashtra), Aug 20, 2025 (ANI: The much-awaited preview of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, has finally been unveiled, setting the stage for one of Netflix India’s boldest original series.
The teaser opens with a narration about Mumbai, the “city of dreams,” describing how some are born into stardom while others fight to become stars. The narrative quickly shifts to introduce Lakshya in the role of Aasmaan Singh, delivering high-energy action sequences and a layered journey through love, chaos, and fame.
The central arc follows Aasmaan Singh as he falls in love with the daughter of “India’s biggest superstar,” portrayed by Bobby Deol, setting off a rollercoaster story filled with drama, romance, and ambition.
The Ba**ds of Bollywood* features a stellar ensemble with Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor.
The series also boasts high-profile cameos from Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar, adding to the buzz.
The preview was revealed at a special event in Mumbai, attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, and producer Gauri Khan. Shah Rukh Khan personally introduced the full cast, expressing pride in his son’s first major project.
Monika Shergill, Vice President of Content at Netflix India, described the show as “witty, bold, and a true roast-and-toast to Bollywood.” She added, “When Aryan Khan shared his vision for his directorial debut, we knew we were setting the stage for something special and disruptive.”
Written and directed by Aryan Khan and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is scheduled to premiere on September 18, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.
With its mix of action, ambition, and satire, the show is being positioned as Bollywood’s “ultimate underdog story.”
