India has secured a spot in the semifinals of the Women’s Asia Cup Cricket with a dominating 82-run victory over Nepal. Indian bowlers Priti Sharma clinched three wickets, while Radha Yadav and Arundhati Reddy took two wickets each.
Opting to bat first, Indian openers Shafali Verma and Dayalan Hemalatha stitched together a 122-run partnership for the first wicket. Verma scored an impressive 81 off 48 balls, while Hemalatha added 47 runs, helping India post a total of 178. Shafali Verma was declared the player of the match.
From Group A, both India and Pakistan have qualified for the semifinals, while Nepal and UAE have been eliminated. The semifinal spots from the group are yet to be determined.
